There is a natural reef about one-hundred meters off into the water here making this beach a perfect place for all types of water sports. The beach is also lined with many open air restaurants and shops for visitors to enjoy.
If you are a golf lover then Gran Canaria holidays might just be for you. The mild temperatures make for ideal year round golfing conditions. With eight different golf courses on the island, golf is the most popular sport on the island. Each course is unique, so every golfer is sure to find a course to suit their needs.
Besides the great beaches and golf course there are so many other fun things to do while visiting Gran Canaria. Aqua land is one of the favourite destinations on the island. This water park is open year round and has over thirty different water slides. Besides the slides this park also has plenty of restaurants, coffee bars, and shops. Holiday World, Cocdorilo Park, and Palmitos Park are just a few of the other amazing places that people enjoy when they on holiday here.
From leisurely activities to heart stopping sports there is always something to do on Gran Canaria Island. Horseback riding, hiking, and biking are all great ways to see the island. Because of the amazing scenery skydiving and rock climbing are popular activities for thrill seekers on the island.
